The Rhode founder recently posted a photo on Instagram Stories showing her feet adorned with colorful pimple patches, alongside a blue pedicure. In the caption, she revealed that the patches work wonders for treating blisters.

According to dermatologist Kasha Malyckyj, founder of Syla Skin, pimple patches can indeed be beneficial for blisters. 'Rather than trying to dry them out or squeeze them, give the skin a chance to do its thing,' she explains. 'Patches create a shield that makes it much harder to interfere with the spot, reducing the risk of scarring and helping it heal properly.'

Hydrocolloid patches, like Bieber's, work by absorbing weepy blister fluid and creating a moist, cushioned environment. This protects the blister from friction, bacteria, and promotes healing without forming unsightly scabs. The patches can stay in place longer than traditional bandages, allowing for a more effective treatment.

A 2014 study found that hydrocolloid patches are highly effective at breaking down damaged tissue, providing a barrier for healing, reducing pain, and supporting new tissue growth.
